Ingredients

  • Egg
  • Salt
  • Sliced wheat bread
  • Butter
  • Oil
  • Yellow pepper powder
  • Black pepper powder
  • Lettuce
  • Onions, sliced
  • Cucumber, sliced

Directions

  1. Crack the egg, and whisk it with a pinch of salt.
  2. Spread some butter on the bread slices.
  3. Spread some of the beaten egg on each slice of bread. Do not add so much egg that the bread is soaked.
  4. Heat a nonstick pan over low heat, and add a thin layer of butter or oil.
  5. Place the bread slices in the pan egg-side down. Sprinkle with yellow and black pepper.
  6. Cook over low heat until the bread is dry and crisp. Remove from the heat.
  7. Top the toast with the lettuce and sliced vegetables.
