Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground pork or beef, cooked and drained
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 medium-sized onion, diced and sautéed
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ cup cold water
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 3 medium-sized potatoes, boiled, mashed, and cooled
  • Fish batter

Directions

  1. Combine the cooked meat, breadcrumbs, cooked onion, parsley, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, water, coriander, and mashed potatoes.
  2. Form the mixture into a disc about 3 inches in diameter.
  3. Dip the disc into the batter so it's completely covered.
  4. Deep-fry in 375°F oil, and remove when golden brown.
  5. Serve hot with chips (French fries).
