Ingredients

  • 450 g dried mixed fruit (raisins, currants)
  • 55 g flour
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • ½ lemon
  • ½ orange
  • 40 g fresh white breadcrumbs
  • 40 g chopped almonds
  • 2 eggs
  • 75 g butter
  • 1 small apple

Directions

  1. Combine all dried mixed fruit in a large bowl. Stir well.
  2. Mix in the flour, then the sugar, lemon, orange, breadcrumbs, and nuts.
  3. Whisk eggs in a separate bowl. Mix eggs into the dry ingredients.
  4. Steam the pudding for several hours, remove it, and put it in a cool place.
  5. Serve with butter, cream, custard, or brandy.
