Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) lemon juice or vinegar (cider or white wine)
  • 2/3 cup (160 ml) buttermilk
  • 1 cup (230 g) mayonnaise
  • ¾ cup (180 g) sour cream
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 4 oz (115 g) any variety of blue cheese

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients except the blue cheese and whisk until smooth and homogeneous.
  2. Dice the blue cheese into approximately ½ inch (1 cm) cubes. Most blue cheese is crumbly, so you'll wind up with a lot of crumbs as well as larger chunks.
  3. Pour the mayonnaise mixture into a serving container and stir in the cubes and crumbs of cheese.
