Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds (900 g) peeled raw shrimp
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 12 ounces (340 ml) of beer
  • Tabasco sauce
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Butter

Directions

  1. Combine onion, garlic, shrimp, and beer in a plastic or glass bowl.
  2. Add as much Tabasco as you'd like (start with 1 tbsp) and some salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Cover and marinate overnight.
  4. Remove shrimp from marinade, and discard marinade.
  5. Melt some butter in a pan and sauté shrimp until pink and done. Don't overcook the shrimp or they'll be rubbery. You can also grill the shrimp.
